Product Review 9 - Bockingford Tinted Watercolour Papers (Oatmeal, Cream, Blue, Eggshell and Grey)

In this video I am reviewing Bockingford Tinted Watercolour Papers by St Cuthbert’s Mill (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK198_oxFLxQMvjxsq7i-Jw). As well as the usual white, they come in Oatmeal, Blue, Duckegg, Cream and Grey. They are only available in 300gsm (140lb) Cold-Press, and come in Imperial, Half and Quarter sizes. In this review, I do a pen and ink sketch based on Peter Sheeler’s Porto urbansketch (https://youtu.be/-scpBUY_Fn0) – it’s not intended to be a replica at all, just “inspired by” – and making 6 copies is boring as hell! I then paint over it with watercolour and then examine how the moods of each picture are different because of the colour of the paper – I’ve listed all of the supplies used at the bottom of this description and you can find a full list of links to the tinted Bockingford in all sizes over at my website (http://www.the-spin-doctor.co.uk/2016/07/bockingford-tinted-watercolour-papers.html).
